XYPN Academy is a learning management system designed to help you run a successful business. On XYPN Academy, you can find resources, templates, and online courses that cover the essentials you need to know to grow and run your firm. In addition, Academy hosts self-study CFP® Continuing Education courses to support you in meeting your CFP CE requirements.

Using XYPN Academy

You can access XYPN Academy through your Membership Dashboard, by clicking the "XYPN Academy” icon on the left-hand side. You can then follow direct links to courses or resources.

Utilizing the Playlist Feature in Academy

Creating a playlist in Academy is like curating your own collection of favorite content, just like you would with music on a streaming app! It helps you gather materials that match your interests all in one place, so you can easily access them without wasting time searching. Plus, you can invite others to view your playlists too! Whether it’s a specific topic or a variety of items you want to explore later, your playlists can be anything you want—mix and match courses, videos, or other resources. Just follow the steps below to get started!


  1. Log into the Member Portal, and navigate to Academy.  
  2. Once on the Homepage, utilize the search bar function at the top of the page and search for a resource you want to include in your playlist. The great thing about our universal search is that you can enter a topic, not just an exact title, and it will give you options—so don’t worry if you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for!

  1. Once on the resource page, locate the “Add to playlist” icon in the top right corner of the page. If this is your first playlist, select “Create a New Playlist”:

  1. Create your playlist with Title, Description and pick your visibility setting. “Private” will only be visible to you, “Public” means it will be visible to other members in Academy.
  2. That’s it! Continue adding resources to your playlist as you spend time in Academy-or create new ones as you become interested in more topics!

Take Academy with You: Mobile Access

Did you know you can access XYPN Academy on your phone? We understand how busy our members are, so we’ve made sure the mobile learning experience is top-notch. To get started, simply download the GoLearn App from your app store, enter our platform URL (https://academy.xyplanningnetwork.com), select SAML SSO, and log in with your Member Portal credentials for instant access. To access Academy on a mobile device, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your app store and download the GoLearn App:

  1. After downloading the app, enter in our platform url: https://academy.xyplanningnetwork.com
  2. Next, select SAML SSO

  3. Lastly, enter in your Member Portal credentials and get immediate access.

FAQs

How do I find the playlists I created?

On the “Get Inspired by the Network” page you will see a channel labeled “My Assets.” Here you can access any playlists you have created or resources that you have uploaded.

I received a direct link to a course or resource, but it’s taking me to the Portal login or an error page. What’s going on?

Make sure you’re logged into XYPN Academy. Once you log into the XYPN Portal, click “Go to Academy”.

I received a direct link to a course or resource, but it’s taking me to a landing page where I’m asked to enroll. Why is that?

If you aren’t enrolled in a course and received a direct link to that course or a resource, you’ll be asked to enroll for free before accessing the resource in question. Once you hit enroll, you can navigate to the resource in the course or return to the link, which will take you directly to it. For later reference, you can access any course enrolled in via the “Dashboard” menu item in XYPN Academy.

I was reading a Kitces.com article in an Academy course, and now it won't let me move on from that page. Why am I stuck?

Your browser is likely set to redirect automatically. For some of the lessons with Kitces articles, that setting seems to prevent you from moving on to the next step. Depending on your browser, a quick Google search can get you the best instructions to disable that function. Let me know if that works for you!

I was sent a direct link to Academy and now I can't log in, what do I do?

When logging into Academy through a direct link and not through the Member Portal, hit XYPN MEMBER? PLEASE CLICK HERE TO LOG IN WITH YOUR PORTAL CREDENTIALS and then enter your Member Portal credentials for direct access. See steps below:
