  2. CFP Capstone: If you completed a comprehensive plan for your CFP Curriculum Capstone, you are only required to show proof that you passed the class.

FAQs

My NAPFA account says my Membership is "Past Due" or "Expired." What do I do?

  • You can ignore this message! Only you can see this, and your Membership with NAPFA is in good standing. Your client-facing page and links will all still be operable. This sometimes happens when membership renewals overlap with XYPN's payment terms with NAPFA. XYPN pays Membership every quarter, which may occur after your renewal date. There is no penalty or other items to be concerned with.

Can I receive Continuing Education Credits through a Mastermind Group?

  • You may claim 8 CE credits in the entire two-year CE cycle for your mastermind meetings, whether from the half-day sessions or your weekly calls, using the "Study Type" of "Presenting." Note: Members must also submit a request for CFP® CE credit to have mastermind hours honored. See the NAPFA CE Guidelines for more info.

Does NAPFA offer a Holistiplan discount? What about other NAPFA discounts?

  • NAPFA members now receive access to Holistiplan at a discounted rate. Use promo code 2019NAPFA10 for a 10% discount. NAPFA offers its members a wide range of discounts on products and solutions. You can view them here.

Do I have to be a CFP ® to be a NAPFA member?

  • No, if you are not yet a CFP®, you can apply as an Associate member of NAPFA. When you receive your CFP ®, NAPFA can upgrade your membership.

Do I have a CE requirement as a NAPFA member?

  • Only if you’re a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor, NAPFA Associates do not have CE requirements. For more information on this, visit this page.

Does the XYPN NAPFA Membership discount apply to non-members?

  • No, the discount does not apply to any non-XYPN members on the account. This member benefit is individual to each member and can be signed up directly in the member portal.
