Holistiplan is tax-planning software for financial advisors that uses optical character recognition (OCR) to read and analyze tax returns in under a minute. It generates client-ready reports and offers scenario-planning tools for strategies like Roth conversions, charitable giving, capital gains management, and tax-efficient withdrawals. The platform also supports broader planning discussions, such as insurance and estate considerations. 


Founded by two CFP® professionals, Holistiplan was built to streamline tax analysis, reduce manual review time, and standardize recommendations. Advisors can review current-year returns, model alternative scenarios, and provide consistent, data-driven insights to clients based on detailed return analysis.

NOTE: State Tax Planning is an included feature in the Premium Tier. So all XYPN Members on the XYPN Plan have access to State Tax Planning.

Account Management

New Users? Let’s get you signed up!

  1. Sign up for Holistiplan right through your Member Portal!
  2. Click on Sign Up, and then Get Started.
    1. Please note: You will be prompted to sign our Extended Benefits Agreement (EBA), which outlines your new pricing, billing terms, and benefits.
  3. You will then be routed to the Holistiplan signup page
  4. Create your account and acknowledge Holistiplan’s Terms of Service.
  5. You’re all set! Once created, you can begin adding households

Existing User? Let’s transfer that account:

PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to transfer your retail account mid-contract (e.g. if your renewal date is 12/31/2025, you have to see your retail term through until 12/31/2025). You can, however, initiate and schedule the transfer your account 30 days before your upcoming renewal date.


  1. In the month prior to renewal, you can initiate your Holistiplan transfer through your Member Portal!
  2. Click on Transfer Account, and then Get Started.
    1. Please note: You will be prompted to sign our Extended Benefits Agreement (EBA), which outlines your new pricing, billing terms, and benefits.
  3. You’ll be directed to Holistiplan’s landing page, agree to the new Terms and Conditions — click Connect.
  4. You’re done! Your account will transfer to XYPN’s agreement and you’ll be billed at your new discounted rate on your renewal date.

Upgrading or downgrading your tier

Upgrades

All upgrades will be processed in-app. 

The 0-15 household tier is free. When you reach 16 households, you will automatically be billed for the 16-30 household tier.

As you approach future tier limits (beginning with the 31-75 Household tier), account admins will be required to opt into the new tier before adding the next household.

Once the account admin has opted into the new tier, you will be billed the difference between your prior tier and your new tier, prorated for the remaining time in your annual contract.


Downgrades

All downgrades will be processed at time of renewal. If you would like to downgrade from your previous tier, you will need to mark as inactive any households you no longer need in the system until you hit the household limit of your desired tier. You can also remove add-ons like insurance and estate prior to your renewal. On your renewal date, you will be billed the full annual amount of your active household tier plus any add-ons.


Adding or removing users

All additional users can be added directly through Holistiplan! Log into your Holistiplan account to add/remove users as needed.

Please note: adding or removing users has no impact on billing. Billing is based on your household count and add-on usage.


Closing your account

  1. You can close your Holistiplan account in-app.
  2. Log into your Holistiplan account.
  3. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  4. Under “Subscription”, click “Cancel Subscription.”
  5. You can either cancel your subscription immediately or at the end of your billing cycle (recommended).
  6. Select your option and click “Confirm.”
  7. You’re all set! Your account will be cancelled and data deleted 

Leaving XYPN?

Your Holistiplan discount as an XYPN member will end when your membership ends. If you wish to continue using Holistiplan, you will need to purchase a new annual subscription directly with Holistiplan within 15 days of leaving the network. You can maintain your account data if you reestablish billing with Holistiplan within this time frame. While we will notify Holistiplan of your intention to leave the Network, be sure to connect with Holistiplan directly for the next steps on account access, establishing a retail relationship with them, and any other questions you may have.


No refunds will be issued if you decide to leave the Network during your Holistiplan contract.


Billing

All billing will be handled by XYPN directly and is based on billable household count + add-on usage. 

FAQs

Is there an option to pay month-to-month instead of annually?


No. The contract term is an annual commitment and monthly installments are not available at this time.


Why can’t I transfer my account now instead of waiting 30 days before my renewal date?


You can only transfer your account within 30 days of your renewal date. This ensures you get the full value of your current plan and aren’t charged early. If you transfer earlier than 30 days before renewal, your new agreement would begin right away and you’d be billed for a full year, even if you still had time left on your current plan.


Is State Tax Analysis available with our member discount?


Yes! You have access to the Premium Tax Planning tier under our group (Basic is not offered at this time). State Tax Scenario Analysis is a feature available on the Premium tier. Please refer to Holistiplan's pricing page to see the full list of features available to you.


The pricing is wrong in Holistiplan's app. Which app is true?


XYPN will display the correct pricing! When trying to estimate your contract amount, please refer to the price calculator in your XYPN Portal.
