Data Handling, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Policies
At XYPN, we are committed to supporting our members in understanding best practices for data handling, cybersecurity, and privacy. While XYPN does not currently have a specific data handling or cybersecurity policy in place, we are actively working to implement a cybersecurity tech software to enhance our support in these areas. If you have recommendations for cybersecurity software or related tools, please reach out to us at membership@xyplanningnetwork.com, and our Membership Team will share your input with our Partnership Team for review.
Key Definitions
Data Handling: The process of collecting, storing, using, and disposing of data in a secure and compliant manner. This includes managing sensitive information such as client data, financial records, and personal identifiers to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
Cybersecurity: The practice of protecting computer systems, networks, and data from unauthorized access, cyberattacks, or damage. Effective cybersecurity involves using tools, protocols, and strategies to safeguard digital assets.
Privacy Policies: A set of guidelines and practices designed to protect the personal information of individuals. Privacy policies outline how organizations collect, use, store, and share data, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Important Notes on XYPN’s Approach
- Independence of Member Tech Software Accounts:
- XYPN does not monitor or track any data associated with the tech software that members choose to use.
- Each member’s account with their selected tech software is independently managed by the member and the respective tech software provider.
- Vendor Data Security Documents:
If you need to access Vendor Data Security documents for the tech software you are using, you can find these resources in the Tech Stack section of the XYPN Knowledge Base. Visit the Tech Stack section here.
Steps to access Vendor Data Security documents:
- Navigate to the Tech Stack section of the Knowledge Base.
- Click on the specific tech software for which you need Vendor Data Security documents.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the article to access the Vendor Data Security documents.
