Biographies

Let folks know about you by filling in a biography. Keep it short & sweet so potential clients are enticed to learn more about what you offer on your firm's website, social media profiles or in that first email you send them.

We highly recommend drafting your biographies in a word processor (e.g., Microsoft Word, Apple Pages, Google Docs) and saving it in that application and then copying, pasting, and submitting the new changes into the appropriate fields. We don't want a bad internet connection to cause you to lose your hard work.

Designations & Credentials

Are you a CFP®? You must have your CFP® designation in order to appear in Find an Advisor. Let us know you have that certification by selecting it from the available options and clicking "Update" to save your changes.

Have some additional credentials, designations, degrees, and more? You can select all of the credentials from our pre-approved list. If you don't see something you'd like, let us know!

Headshot & Logo

We know you're a looker, but do potential clients? When searching for an advisor, your headshot is front and center.

On your profile page itself, you have the opportunity to introduce your branding to potential clients through a firm logo.

Social media profiles

You can link out to your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (neé Twitter) or YouTube profiles on your Find an Advisor page. Connect with potential clients in an approachable way!

To get started, pull up the page of the social media profile you want folks to be able to connect with in another tab in your browser. Then, copy the full link of the social media profile. Next, navigate to the profile management page and fill in the appropriate field for the social profile you're updating on the form. Click the "Update" button to save your changes. That's it! Changes are live on your profile right away.
